Vertical Storage SystemHow the SPSS Vertical Lift (VLM) Module WorksThe SPSS Vertical Lift Module consists of two towers of stacked trays arranged on shelves with an extractor lift platform that automatically travels a center shaft between the towers. Stored product remains stationary as a vertical lift device (extractor platform) moves to retrieve a tray requested by the operator. Product is brought to the operator (unlike static racks which require the operator to walk to the product). Using simple controls, the operator pulls a tray (choosing by tray, part number or description) and the tray is delivered to the operator at an ergonomically correct workstation. Tray return is automatic when you request another location. All necessary safety and control features included, this vertical storage system tackles needs of businesses large and small. The visual aid below describes each element of the SPSS Vertical Lift Module (VLM):
Stationary Storage racks on the front and back of the machine provide economical storage.
Extractor bars for pulling and pushing trays to and from shelves and workstation are located on the lift platform.
Preassembled Module - The first 6' of the machine is a preassembled module to greatly simplify installation and startup of the machine.
Front and side doors are also lockable to secure the machine but still allow full access to controls, lift drive, and platform.
